Who wouldnt Wanna be Me!?

Thats right! Who woudnt want to be me? Look at these lovely's playing in the sprinkler! Thats right I said sprinkler. It was actually warm enough to get in the hose last weekend. I gave the kids some kithen supplies and they went to town making mud soup and mud coffee. Yummy! So Mia says to me, "My bowl looks like it has cinnamon in it". I'm like, "Hmm kinda looks like coffe to me". She says, "Its kinda warm." Then I say, "Thats Odd"!. and she says,"No Mom, Thats even because half the water is warm and the other half hot!

So Saturday, Me, Mia, Bubba, Chellsea, Fallon, and the Bergers all went hiking to Wallace Falls. Beautiful day out. Sunny and warm. Perfect day for a hike. We had one of those jogger stollers an popped Bubba in it and took off. At one point you have to decide wether you want to take to Woddy trail or the Rail Road Grade. The Woody trail runs along the river and is very pretty but the trail is not stroller friendly. So we decided to take the Rail Road Grade. Total hike was 5 miles and we just puttered along. We looked at buttercups and I showed Mia how to stick them under your chin to find out if a person likes butter. Do you like butter, Do you like butter! Remember that one! and Chellsea and Mia ran into a squirel that had words with them. I just cant beleive how nice this weather had been lately. I've been trying to get out in it everyday. Soakin it up like its gonna be the last nice day ever! Hope everyone else is out enjoying it! I even take my knitting out and sit in my lawn chair while I'm kniting!

Mia's butterfly story

I just love Mia's sequence storys. This story is completly made up my the mind of Mia. What I would give to live inside her funny little head for just a day!

I Saw a butterfly.
The next day the butterfly flew on my hand.
The next day in the afternoon the butterfly flew away.
(it didnt just fly away, it took off in the afternoon to be exact!)
I watched it go away.
Mom said, "Come to eat. I have dinner waiting!"
(I have dinner waiting? man she's funny!)

Silence of the Ditterbug

I put a new you tube video up called Silence of the Ditterbug. Before you head off the check it out let me give you a little background on it so you'll understand what my bug is saying and why he's saying it.

Theres a scene on Anthony Hopkins and Silence of the Lambs where the weirdo guy has kidnapped a girl and thrown he in this pit in his basement. He wants her to put lotion on her skin so it will be super soft and he can use it to make a lampshade out of ( or something equally grosser). and she doesnt want to do it because she's scared. So he's at the top of this pit with a garden hose full of cold water and he's threatening to turn it on and squirt her if she doesnt put the lotion on. So the weirdo says, "It rubs the lotion in or it gets the hose" and he keeps repeating it till she rubs the lotion in. I know, I know Who's really the weirdo? Him or us for watching!

K, so everyday when we get Ditterbug out of the bathtub we rub baby magic baby lotion on him and that stupid saying keeps comming up, "It rubs the lotion in or it gets the hose" So we make it really funny and then one day Ditterbug starts repeating it back to us! NOW-go watch the video at http://www.youtube.com/ Type in mutti ditterbug bubba and it should pop right up.

Lord help our family! We are derranged people!

My "mater" Garden

I planted tomatoes this weekend. I had bought all these seeds awhile ago and planted them but they are so skinny that I dont know if they will actually make it. So I went out and bought 4 more really hardy looking mater plants from the feed store. Brad built a great box for me to plant them all in and I'm hoping that the skinny ones-at least some of them will make it. I also planted 4 corn plants that Chellsea had given me for mothers day and 4 pumkins plants that Mia had given me. i love plants for mothers day. Dont you? So it was a perfect day to get them in the ground. Nice and sunny and warm. ahhhhh.

Fallon had a slumber party on Saturday that went fairly well. All except when I dropped her off Brads truck wouldnt start back up and I had to resort to asking some weirdo guys on the block for a jump start. YEeeesh! I hate that when that happens! Time to get a new battery for the truck Mr. Brad! I hauled at the dirt and the poop for the tomatoes boxes and unloaded it all myself with the wheel barrow. Stinky stinky job. But the end result is very nice.

How Blonde Am I ?!?

OMG How blonde am I? This Jungle Blanket is going to definately let me know. So I start knitting the damned thing and I get to the 4th row and I'm all confused with the pattern. 5 round kneedles and the stiches arent comming out to the right count. Intarsia? Not getting it. WHat an I doing wrong?
Hang on cause the blond parts commin'.
So I'm thinking, I'll just photo copy the pages off and tape 'em together. Derrrrrr that didnt work to well. But of course I dont figure that out till I've waisted a couple hours on it. Little tiny squares, all taped together. Spread out all over my kitchen table. Snapin at my little lovely children. Skipping through dinner just to get it done. Never mind that it cant BE done. Grrrrrr
k, now I'm thinking that I'll just open up an excel spread sheet and map out my OWN colors and my OWN pattern and I might even add monkeys to my Whinkey. Will this work? Stay tuned!

The Pear
I buy a pear and I asked the pear, how much is the pear?
One penny two dollars.

Miss Mia Mack Mack Mack!

So Mia received an invitation to a friends birthday party that was today. Inside the invite was a message that said "We will be providing Hamburgers and Hotdog-Please bring your favorite side dish".

She was sooo excited to go that all day long she kept asking me, "Is it time to go yet?"

Finally-It was time to go. I say, "Come on-Lets go"

She says "Wait, wait, I gotta get my side dish"

and I'm thinking, hmmmm I didnt make a side dish to bring. Wonder what she's talking about.

So she comes runnihg into the kitchen, jumps up onto the countertop and grabs plate out of the cupboard. She says to me, "I got my side dish"

Let me tell you how hard it is to keep a straight face and not laugh when your child is so dead serious about something like that.

I did manage to not laugh out loud but I did have to turn away so she wouldnt see me grinning from ear to ear.

She has got to be the most special child. I just love her so much. She makes me smile everyday!

In the Jungle the mighty Jungle-The Ditterbug sleeps tonight!

So I've started Ditterbugs Jungle Whinkey!

Heres a picture of how its supposed to look when its all done.

I'm changing the colors because I just dont think these colors shown are bright enough and I want his Whinkey to be Bright, Buttery Soft, and Yummy!

It was such a warm day out today that I brought all my knitting things out onto the back porch and laid it all out on the picnik table. Ahhh knit'n in the sun was Wonderful!

And here is how it all starts-4 wooden squewers and some blue yarn. Hard to beleive that it might actually resemble a blanket with elephants on it when I'm done. Well thats the goal anyway. They might turn out to be the Picaso version of elephants but I'll take what I can get.
